MIDDLE EAST FARM EQUESTRIAN CENTRE
LEADER is part of the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE), and provides funding to local businesses and organisations to help them carry out projects which create jobs, help the business to grow and which benefit the local economy.
Middle East Farm Equestrian Centre received a £58,000 grant through LEADER to build a new indoor training area. The Equestrian Centre offers riding and livery services, however in the past lessons have had to be cancelled due to weather conditions as only outdoor facilities were available. LEADER funding has helped to change this.
Bletsoes became involved to assist with applying for a grant to build an indoor arena and stables. We requested an initial Expression of Interest Form which was submitted to the Peterborough Local Action Group (LAG) in November 2017. This outlined the business details, objectives, and proposed costs of the project. Based on the information we submitted, the application was endorsed to the next stage, the Full Application in January 2018.
The Full Application involved a more detailed outline of the project, providing a cash flow and quotes for the construction of the building.
The applicants were also required to apply for Planning Permission for the building which was permitted on 23rd March 2018.
After successfully submitting the Full Application to the LAG in April 2018, an approval letter and contract was received in June 2018.
